Now that you mention it, it is a head scratcher. I said on another thread, it would be hypocritical of me to oppose tribunals when I have recommended the assassination of known terrorists.........

Well then, it hardly seems consistent to be hyperventilating over military tribunals.....

There's no inconsistency, because it's different circumstances. I don't have any problem with bombing in Afghanistan, but I think that prisoners ought to be handled under the guidance of the Geneva convention.

There's a whole world of difference between a terrorist in the wild and a alleged terrorist who is sitting behind bars.

Completely parallel with the thought that I don't have an ethical problem with a SWAT team taking out someone who is holding hostages when all negotiations have been exhausted and also saying the an arrested individual should be subject to due process.
