Agreed. BTW, Aren't Republicans the folks who've been complaining that government is "too much with us"? Since 9/11 however, they've done a complete 180; among other concessions, there was not a whimper about Ashcroft's interfering with states' rights. Now they're willing to risk giving up Constitutional rights. Hopefully rational minds prevail, because I don't want someday in the future to be thinking (with free speech a thing of the past) "I told you so" when all Constitutional guarantees have been rescinded.
