albert: I think it is a matter of allocation. There is higher demand for tsmc .13 than tsmc can provide

NVIDIA is TSMC's #1 customer. By a long shot.

And when your #1 customer expresses its concern, publicly, that your new process isn't up to snuff&#133 well&#133 that's not good.

Albert, from Ace's Hardware:

According to this report from The Inquirer indicating UMC will begin producing chipsets for NVIDIA, admit rumors of poor yields from TSMC's 0.15 and 0.13-micron processes.

Things aren't looking to hot for TSMC's .13µ process, although I expect it'll be fine in a quarter or so ;-).

(a more reliable source than The Inq. may be: siliconstrategies.com - although The Inquirer did scoop Silicon Strategies by 4 days or so)

Is this chipset the AMD Saviour and Intel killer:

"Even though it's higher price tag may hold it back somewhat, the biggest problem we've seen with the MSI K7N420Pro and the nVidia nForce so far is stability. We experienced more than a few lockups and black screens upon boot, which were always fixable, but nonetheless annoying. This is to be expected though, as it's nVidia's first chipset on the market. It may take them a few revisions to get all the kinks worked out. Let's hope most of the stability issues can be fixed via software or BIOS upgrades. "
