Hi MSI,

Re: I disagree - that assumes nothing he can say would save additional thousands of lives in the future.

You seem to assume that OBL would actually say something to interrogators that would be of some use. That seems to be remarkably optimistic. OBL isn't in it for the money. That removes most of the bait our side has to offer.

Re: I'm not convinced of much of anything I read at this point, including his supposed death wish, possible nukes, other cells in the US, etc. Some may be true, some not.

A healthy skepticism is the best approach. There's a lot of reason to suspect that forces on the "Dark Side" are using the crisis to advance agendas here in the U.S. that have nothing to do with fighting theocratic fundamentalism/fascism, we're actually embracing it. A study of the profits that the Carlyle Group hopes to secure from panicking the public would be a good place to start.

Re: I'd love to interrogate him and see what could be found out.

Ummm, that the Carlyle Group and the Bin Ladens go way back?

Re: Unfortunately, he probably knows too much, and probably won't be allowed to live.

More to the point. OBL won't be allowed to make clear to the American public the actual nature of power politics as it is played out at the highest levels.
