Re. WWIII Hasn't it already started? That it doesn't look like WWII may be responsible for the fact that folks don't understand that it has begun. Re The IRA. Michael Collins knew when to stop and take a deal. I seriously question that ability in Arafat.

Dialog and negotiation is what it's all about. So you think we should negotiate with the Taliban and Al Quaida? It takes two sides to negotiate. If one side clearly refuses to negotiate, then the choices become surrender, containment or victory. I know which of those I would prefer.
