On Topic *** December Outlook ***

No time to be short the big guns. AMAT, ORCL, CSCO, EMC, MSFT, INTC, and the semi area.

The confluence of events (lower oil prices, lower interest rates, and fewer surviving terrorists) will bring the market to another bout of irrationality. Like...like...how can stock prices rise when there are no earnings ???? (see Jacob's posts).

Being an option player I try to focus on the events of the near term (four to six weeks) and how they might influence the market. Its not precise but for me it has been profitable.

End of the year rallies are common...and the only political hold up would be if Israel does something really stupid (like killing Arafat). That would disturb the oil markets and most any rally. It would create a huge amount of Middle East uncertainty and that's bad for the market.

Most of the posters on this thread have posted better strategies for Israel than what they are now doing. And that is some thing to be concerned with. It does effect the market so I consider it on topic.
