The one type of AMD based system that I've seen advertised more than any other, and that is available even at otherwise almost "Intel Only" locations like CompUSA, is the Mobile Duron Notebook. Sony, Compaq, and HP all have very attractively featured and priced systems using that chip.

I agree Duron is a total dud now, except for notebooks. About the only thing a desktop Duron is good for is upgrading an old 200 MHz FSB socket-A system with a weak power supply.
