Knowing that my @home service was about to be cut-off, I spent about an hour on the phone Thursday w/ Qwest twisting their arm to make DSL available in our neighborhood. They said it was not available at my address at this time. I spoke to several supervisors telling them there were at least 5-6 @home users on my street and all would be looking at other options. Yesterday (Saturday) there were 3 trucks with six men all replacing the old phone lines up and down our street. I talked to the guys working and they said they all got offered double time to come out and replace these lines today. They said they were upgrading so the neighborhood had DSL capability. It's probably just a coincidence, but if that's the kind of quick action I could get from Qwest, I'll give it a go. Baton
