Gus Warmenhoven claims that they win most of the direct competition they have with EMC. If so then the only conclusion I can make is that the only place that EMC is expanding NAS business is where they already have a SAN position with the client. I wonder what the picture looks like where neither NTAP or EMC has a position and the client is moving away from DAS and has to make a decision about who to move forward with. A SAN supplier who can also supply NAS or an NAS supplier that doesn't force the upfront SAN costs? I would like you to address this seriously because I really don't know.

Well, then please discredit this information, which I have asked
you to do at least 1/2 dozen times already. All of this information
was provided by EMC on their last quarterly conference call:

See: Message 16667911

All I have been asking for is an explanation of why EMC's NIS
revenue total (SAN+NAS) is missing $84M? Should the $84M be
taken out of the NAS or SAN revenue segment to make this NIS
total correct?

This is EMC's data, I'm just doing the math.
