this is assuming the fabs have the same capacity, no ? i thought you just said that intel doesn't publish their fab capacity. how can you reach that conclusion then? Intel's fabs aren't 4 times as big. EP

You've hit the nail on the head. Since we don't know this kind of information, we can't do Dan3 number crunching, and expect reasonable conclusions. It's pointless. Of course, Elmer also has a point. Intel's fabs aren't 4x the size of AMD's, so Intel has to have somewhat better yields. wbmw
