Well, if you're not convinced, take it as a matter of opinion, but what would be an interesting way to resolve this would be to allow US consumers (the real power in the universe, as the bad guy in Star Wars said) to have a choice whether to buy Saudi or non-Saudi oil products.

The overwhelming vote-with-petrodollars would be for non-M.E. products altogether. I believe many consumers feel as I do, that dollars flowing in the direction of these violent regions comes back to haunt us, kill us, and corrupt our government.

This would be a simple, small revolution, forcing those wanting our petrodollars to justify themselves w. more transparency, further step towards getting gov't out of our pockets and away from supporting foreign regimes overtly and covertly. The current gasoline/diesel distribution process can do this easily. It won't because it's politically explosive. I hope some oil co. BOD realizes they'll make billions by providing consumer choice, but it isn't happening. Yet.
