Doug, I am more worried about your kids living that long as we are now headed into global confrontation as a way of life, a nuclear disaster is the likely outcome unless PEACE rather than WAR becomes the objective

Inflation is the FRIEND of the politician because it causes tax bracket creep (they never have to vote for taxes) and thus increases revenues; also it is the friend of the monied classes (excepting bond holders :) because it disproportionately disadvantages the less rich (who spend more percentage-wise on consumption than on investing).
