Are you working on a contingency basis? In the first case he was referring to gases that kill painlessly not gasoline...gasoline is not a gas and does not kill painlessly nor do flamethrowers or napalm.

Then in the 2nd note he says, " dear j-f- there are gases that can kill painlessly and a gas that would kill painlessly I do not consider barbaric." As an afterthought he realized he has been caught proposing a barbaric act and suddenly trys to cover his ass by suggesting that the Taliban may leave rodents in the caves as a form of booby trap and what he really is saying is that he would gas the rodents.... Yeah, sure our Marines and Special Forces would fear rats enough to gas caves.... Something like a "the dog ate my homework" scenario. A very poor try counselor. You lose, the Snitch is also a barbarian....
