This is an old article. I think nForce was so attractive from the point of view of OEMs that some of them, most likely HP, wanted to stadardize on it. HP had a short lived DDR based machines, probably based on AMD chip, but I have not seen them much anymore. The machines I have seen a lot of are based on Thunderbird, 200 MHz FSB, SDRAM.

TOP VENDORS including giants like Hewlett Packard, are cross at Nvidia for the delays in delivering its Nforce chipset, and so missing the Christmas rush.

fyoder,
whats the downside of PSM on TPT if you can afford to buy many steppers?
Does 193nm get rid of PSM? What layer(s) do you think it's used on?

Do you think advanced process tech comes out of SEMITECH these days? Why or Why not?
