Not a great illustration. I've seen comparable examples from conservatives. If you were to try to capture substantive posts on this thread, I think the liberals would win the subtotals. But I'd argue that it's too small a sample to be definitive [I argue with myself a lot.]

Based on the popularity of WWF, Sex in the City, Walker Texas Ranger and the lack of popularity of the news along with various surveys that show the American people don't know the name of the Vice President or a host of other seemingly obvious facts; I would guess that the percentage of independent thinking persons in the US that put in any effort is something less than 5%. Asking a question constitutes effort.
