You mean like the Inuit, or Eskimo, who have many words for "snow"? I could see where the Persians would be more descriptive.

I find it a little odd that, like the German, they combine words. Perhaps that came later in the development of the language.

Anyway, I have trouble with English so Persian is definitely out of the question.
