<The really sad thing is, as some have said, elderly people counting on income from CDs. They could be forced to cash in their savings in order to subsist. >

No one cares about them... in the short term there are profits to make and a GDP number to be slave to. Besides, their last nickel may be the one that breaks the NASD out to the upside. <VBP, very big puke>

T, Don't let those negative yields on money funds upset you. You are doing your part to keep money fund managers employed, which should be reward enough. <g>

That's OK, I'm sure grandmom and granddad will be fine, with the whopping cost of living adjustment coming up for their social (in)security checks....WHOOPS!

BTW, if the CPI growth is negative for the year, will social security checks actually be cut? That would play really well with all the cane wielding, AARP card-carrying zealots in Sun City!<NG>

Yep. This is not looking very good for grandmas and grandpas. The 10-year is collapsing and is yielding 5%. Looks like the credit market is very volatile. I wonder how these derivatives trades are doing.... I think this may be the time to buy and hold gold and silver

P.S. ENE is above $1 today. Surely regret i did not buy it at $25c -g-. Vegas. LOL!
