DAK, No. I'm just saying that the reason for lowering rates is to increase consumer spending. It had the opposite effect in Japan where individuals saved more because they were getting a lower rate on their savings. They needed a bigger dog to wag the tail for their retirement. Of course, the US is different in that we do not save.
