And I think that statement is also true of every other country and society. Compared to world averages, I'd say the US is actually pretty good. Not sure on that. I've considered the US characteristics pretty carefully. Anecdotally, the Brits have impressed me quite a bit. I find it a challenge to keep up with many of them. And if you wish to claim Mephisto as one of yours, you are certainly welcome to do so. I won't lay claim to her rightist equivalent, though. I've learned some things from Mephisto of value. But, to be fair, we have to count them all left and right. <s> jttmab
