I think I explained this in one my very early posts on this thread.

The way I look at things has always been to question the parts that I do not understand. And what I do not understand are parts that are negative. It is always easy to understand the positive sides of a subject, but the negatives parts are those that are a bit more challenging.

I give you an example, when I try to buy a stock (lets say Intel), I know Intel is a great company, but I look for reasons Not to buy the stock. If I am convinced and have an answer for all the negatives that I come to know about the stock, then I will go ahead and buy it.

Or when I want to buy a car (lets say Mercedez 500S). I know it is a great car. But I first look at reasons for NOT buying it. If I can not find any, or find convincing reasons for rejecting all the aspects that tell me NOT to buy the car, then I will go ahead and buy it.

This approach works the best in my view because once you commit yourself you know exactly what you did commit yourself to!

In an egg and ham breakfast, the chicken is involved and the ham is committed!

And in order to be committed to something (whether it is a religion, faith, a car, or even the person you are marrying) you better know all the negatives up front before committing yourself!

Regards,

- Addi
