On a scale of 1 to 10 (1=despair, like in 1932; 10=euphoria,like in 1999), I'd say that 10/98 and 9/01 were 4s. The peaks of the two previous bear rallies of 2001, that peaked in February and June, those felt like 6s. Today feels like 7. The euphoria isn't nearly as goofy and giddy as in 1999, but there is more unfounded optimism now than at any other time this year.
