WBMW, <After the 16-bit Super Nintendo was launched, Atari tried to outdo them by launching the 64-bit Jaguar.>

I remember that. Atari tried to make a huge marketing campaign around the fact that it's 64-bit. Even their slogan was "Do the math."

Of course, they had games that frankly no one really cared for. Boy, what a fall from grace Atari was.

wbmw, PC Games don't look better than PS2 games though. I've played some of the latest PC Racing games and last week I played Gran Turismo 3 on PS2. I have to say that the graphics on the PS2 blow away anything the PC has to offer even though the PS2 does it with 640x480 resolution and the PC has 1024 and up. I think console game development is very different from PC game development. The programmers who do the former are years ahead from their PC counterparts in experience and vision.
