FOMC rate cut Influence?
On every day this year the FOMC cut rates I subtracted 4
trading days from the meeting date, recorded the closing
price, then added 4 trading days to the meeting date and
recorded the closing price.

For ticker A this how I got its Average FMOC Influence:

Meeting FrstClose LstClose Diff
1 55.9375 53 -5.25%
2 55.25 50.97 -7.75%
3 35.3 37.07 5.01%
4 31.68 37.22 17.49%

9 19.3 21.42 10.98%
10 22.27 24.64 10.64%

Jim.. re "follow the behavior of one of its members"

I created web page that calculates the influence among tickers.

You can check it out at:
necessity.org

For example, entering a ticker of "RFMD"

Shows that RFMD is influenced by TXN NOK SMH. The underlying meaning is that if TXN upticks RFMD, will have an 85.7% chance of an uptick, NOK 81.7%, SMH 81.3%

RFMD is more volatile than NOK TXN SMH as a consequence its uptick and downtick magnitude is much greater.

Check it out!
