Then I carefully watched what he did. He did everything he said he was going to do, which most politicians never do. He maintained a platform based on the goals he set forth in 92 and stayed with for all eight years, the record speaks for itself. The other to this day gives him no credit for the successes. He came under personal attack before he was elected, and I saw the first slick willie golf balls sitting on republican co workers desks thirty days after he was elected. He was attacked unmercifully from the beginning to the end. I continued to watch the policy and paltform which carried on unwavering. As Republicans resorted to more and more mud slinging the party drove me totally away. I now will vote a straight demo ticket until such time the republican party focuses on the issues rather than mud slinging. Additionally, the party has become fiscally irresponsible. During the early eighties when the dems went over board left I rebuked them. Now it is just the reverse and the world is racing toward total hawkish US lead aggression, a very scary cloudy horizon when a a year ago the skies were blue with optimism. Perception is reality and perception now is we need to wage a lot of WAR, and the ADMIN is responsible for that. We need to crush terrorism but when I hear Ashcroft I shiver and when I hear Bush, I realize he is reveling in kicking butt and it won't stop in Afghan, and his actions to date say he doesn't care about the average working man and as I said this is our tiny little fragile planet and the only threat to it is US.
