Antivirus software can do this depending on how you have it configured. If you have it set to check incoming data it can cause these interruptions.

That's a hard one to try and diagnose. There are several things I would try starting with a through scandisk and defrag and virus scan. You can check device manager and see if you have any exclamation marks on any devices. I would go to PCPitstop and run their tests. Search for browsertune and run it. Run resource monitor and see if your resources are getting low. A program may have a major memory leak. How much ram do you have and what operating system? Clear all your temp files. (internet temp and windows temp folder)
