Just one more time for the economic morons who keep the Puff Daschles' in business:

"Paying off" the national debt is like burning cats during the Black Plague. Nations don't "pay off" their debt unless they are in long-term decline, and don't mind ruining what's left of their economy.

People pay off debt, that's wise. Economies outgrow theirs, that's REQUIRED...

yeah, and when my kids are paying 50% of their paychecks to keep sending greedy babyboomers checks they are now voting for themselves, they will be snacking on dogfood as well.

This generation will be known as the generation that took care of it's self and screwed their kids.
