After your personal insults, I see no point in continuing the conversation. I put you in the same category as BIA on the left and jlallen on the right. Closed minded people who's only pleasure in life seems to be coming to SI and insulting people. Sad people, but I don't have to waste my time with them. Have a nice life.

RE:There is only one interpretation to this problem.

You present two interpretations in your over simplified analogy, then say there is only one interpretation! Admittedly, one is wrong according to mathematics as we know it today, but it is still an interpretation.
I showed evidence that there are two interpretations and you flat out ignored what I showed you.
My whole point was that there is an interpretation of the law which would help combat terrorism and Ashcroft decided to go with the other one, making him look weak on terror and in bed with the NRA. Maybe you and others here think the sun shines out of his butt and his shit doesn't stink, but I'm not in that crowd. His contradictory behavior on terrorism ought to be pointed out to the American public, IMHO. If he is putting Americans at risk because of his ties to the NRA then we need to know about it and hopefully fix it. I hope Kennedy and the other senators produce legislation that he can't interpret to suit himself.
