>You're young. No crime in that but you just haven't had enough time to really follow AMD. You'd know that their goal is to harm Intel. No other purpose. You think we're joking here when we say that. Like I said, you're young.

No, their goal is to "empower people everywhere to lead more productive lives"! It says so right on their website! :)

Seriously, I entirely agree with you, and I'm aware of the situation- I've been following for a few years now. I emphasized Sanders' blood lust for Intel in my presentation, in fact. To quote, "AMD's mission for the last decade has been to dethrone Intel as the top PC processor maker in the world." I also mentioned that the employees are indoctrinated by Sanders with the task of destroying the "evil empire" (Intel), and was told be a member of my group that that was just silly and it was an exaggeration that shouldn't be used in a presentation, but it in fact it the case.

Of course, the door swings both ways and neither company wants the other around- that's what makes this stuff so darned interesting!

Another quote:

"As far as rivalries go, few are as intense as that between AMD and Intel. Intel has tried to crush AMD for years, and Jerry Sanders would like nothing better than to take down Intel. The companies’ shareholders are militant as well, taking arguments on investment boards well into the night, incessantly exchanging arguments as well as insults."

Sounds about right, doesn't it?
