Messed around with the Direcway connection a bunch and still couldn't get it connected, so I rebooted. It came right up. Not good. I don't want to have reboots be a "normal" practice on any of these machines, especially that one. Also, in the Status screen for this connection, it doesn't actually show amount of traffic moved like it does for dialup. Instead, it shows number of packets moved in each direction. I'm pretty sure that's useless for determining how much traffic I've moved since packet sizes vary widely.
