Bob,

Interesting log of satellite internet. Since I'm also in a remote location, I appreciate your comments. I don't think I could ever get by the latency issue for real-time, however. Unless I could have two connections, one terrestrial, working simultaneously somehow.

Bob,
With my cable modem I have to reboot my PCs and unplug the
modem for 30 seconds then plug it back after most outages,
sometimes even after just a little flinch in the power.
It happens irregularly but averages about once every 6
weeks. I have no idea if the satelite is the same way but
I figured I'd just pass on the info.
