That's because your weight is an infinitesimal amount compared to the total weight of the earth. The % of the earth covered by forest is not an infinitesimal part of the earth's land surface. I actually agree with Thomas M and you that a better measurement would be the % of forest lost, I'm just making the point that measuring it by % of the earth covered by forest does not create a great distortion. Lomborg could have been more precise but what he says on this does more or less accurately reflect reality.
