Elmer, this may seem like sour grapes, but I've been wondering about the viability of a $10,000 2-way Merced workstation that cannot outperform a $5,000 2-way Xeon workstation. I'm not sure what McKinley's chances are in the workstation market, but with the performance numbers I've seen, they're bound to be better.

Meanwhile, over on the fundamentalism thread, they seem to think that Dell is completely dropping Itanium support. Guess they forgot that Dell is still selling 4-way Itanium servers:

Still wondering why TPC-C performance numbers haven't been released yet. Itanium should be the fastest 4-way server out there right now, both in pure performance and price/performance.
