M A R K E T .. S N A P S H O T -- Shares set for mixed open

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Stocks are poised to open on a mixed note Friday as investors focus on Oracle's earnings news and gird for the slew of economic numbers set for release.

The March S&P 500 futures contract rose 3.50 points, or 0.3 percent, but was trading about 0.70 point below fair value, according to HL Camp & Co. And Nasdaq futures edged up 3.50 points, or 0.3 percent while the Dow Jones Indicative Index climbed 38 points, or 0.4 percent, to 9,303.

A gaggle of data will be out on Friday: The November consumer price index, seen declining 0.1 percent overall and rising 0.2 percent at the core; October business inventories, expected to slip 0.8 percent; industrial production, seen declining 0.7 percent; and capacity utilization, expected to come in at 74 percent. Check economic calendar and forecasts.

In the government bond arena, prices were mixed in early action.

The 10-year Treasury note was off 1/32 to yield ($TNX) 5.08 percent while the 30-year government bond climbed 3/32 to yield ($TYX) 5.50 percent.

In the currency sector, the dollar rallied 1.3 percent to 127.58 yen while the euro rallied 1.0 percent to 90.10 cents.
