When I was in university, one of our profs spoke english as a third [or fourth, maybe] language. He wrote a technical word on the chalkboard, tried to pronounce it a few times, then turned to the calls and apologised, saying

"Sorry, it will come in my hand, but not in my mouth."

That was the end of class for the day.

In the little town next door to mine is a family by the name of Ball.

They live on the main road and proudly display a very tasteful wooden sign in front of their house that says:

The Balls of Bothell
