Do you think this is due to random timing errors in the AthWiper control logic?

Looks like either an unstable chipset or bad MD designs. Either way AMD seems to be plagued by system problems time and time again. Everywhere we look there are reports of instability. Could it be that Athlon itself is just too difficult to design a stable system for? We don't see continuous reports of unstable P4 systems, even with the cheap chipsets. If they can design for P4 with it's much faster FSB, why can't they design a stable system for a slower bus?
