I remember growing up hearing my mother in conversation with friends -- even in 'mixed company' LOL What a antique American idiom that one is as well -- like, the husbands -- MEN -- were present and engaged in same discussions -- and such talking about 'D and Cs.'

i.e., "So and so just had a 'D & C.'"

I have the impression that it was something along the lines of an 'induced miscarriage.'

I might be wrong ... may have something to more with hysterectomy -g- what a term BTW.

What is a 'D & C,' anybody except the fanatical RWE male pro-lifers here?
