hj, there is no dollar based data that supports the conclusion that computers drastically increased GDP relative to hours worked. Not even a rocket scientist can create it. that is why they changed the measurement system. what they wanted didn't exist so they made it up.

you are thinking unit productivity. economic productivity is a different animal - sometimes very different. micron increases dram bytes sold by about 100% every year. even so, they hurt economic productivity b/c their revenues have been more than cut in half.

dram bytes don't improve the quality of life for workers - increased dollar do.

btw, tony the tiger stood for a full 8 seconds 3 days shy of his 7 month birthday. well, he dry surfed for a full 8 seconds, anyway... ;-) he could have gone longer but he got excited and tried to jump....

the little guy is focused and determined. i hope he channels that energy positively as he grows up or i'm in big trouble -ng-
