A geopolitical gridlock which is, I believe, doomed to fall apart. From my post #4561: Re: This article is for you who thinks Europe is sympathetic towards Israel... Indeed, not only is Europe "sympathetic" towards Israel but it's Israel's LARGEST trading partner as well. See, I'm certainly not gonna be fooled by the current flux of events. The murderous attacks of Sept 11 were masterminded by the French together with the Russians and Mossad probably had a clue about it. So I find it quite disgusting when I read in the Financial Times that sort of a "division of labor" was agreed upon between the EU and the US: Britain's Straw and Belgium's Foreign Minister L. Michel will take care of Arab countries and the Palestinians (Syria, Iran,...) while the US will focus on... Israel and other potential allies in the forthcoming crusade. That's geopolitical cynicism at its highest: the very criminals who have stirred up anti-Arab/Muslim hatred in America become the go-betweens towards Arab countries and posture once again as "honest brokers" between the Arab world and the US. Such a farce! But then, as I said before, the status quo dies hard: Israelis, Russians and Europeans just DON'T WANT the current balance of powers to get turned upside down and find themselves cornered in a Fascist Alliance against the Muslim world... Hence, they've desperately scrambled to keep the Israeli-US alliance pitted against the EU-Russian-Arab one. For the day the status quo collapses, Fascism will rise all over Eurasia...
