I haven't seen any data on it, but I would think that recourse to remedy is more preventative here than in the UK. And on this, I probably agree with the dems that there should be no caps put on awards to those who successfully sue medical professions, otherwise the lawyers would not be inclined to go against the well paid lawyers for the healtcare companies.

That is not the sole, nor superior, reason I think a competitive market for health services is superior to a publicly run one, though.
