craig, a couple points.

the US gave the bird to the world when they backed out of the agreement that barred missile shields.

all i can say is... I TOLD YOU SO. america does what it wants when it wants b/c we have the biggest guns and most wealth.

your paradigm of a squealing america is just fear mongering.

second, cheap labor is one aspect of productivity. simple minds stop there. however, there are many other dimensions. I supervised a group of folks in electronics production in california and we built product less expensively than our mexican friends even though are wages were 900%+ higher...

i know folks who have told me horror stories about mfg in mexico. it rains, the labor force doesn't show. why? they can get a job paying the same wages when the rain stops.

>>you can use the excuse of economic weakness to lay off your american workers, and when the economy rebounds you rehire fewer americans and more slaves<<

you aren't a good republican. you don't live by the mantra "greed is good." better watch out before you get dubbed a liberal for being WEAK on GREED! -VBG-
