They are sucking away repetitous/tedious jobs which can be
done cheaper elsewhere. That is the way capitalism works.
The people who lose their jobs are redeployed in other
areas of the economy which are growing. I am sure a lot of
steel workers who lost their jobs retrained as computer
technicians etc to find employment. That is why the US economy is so resilient and that is why we will not have
a Japan here.
