Well, the first Defense Budget under Bush is now going about to go into effect. And besides the military requires a few years for any changes to take effect. Meanwhile, the economy is affected by everything on daily basis including a bad result in an election, poor fiscal policy, sabre rattling, isolationism, failure to recognize and do something about declining business, putting relief funds into the wrong hands and on and on. If Dubya would have been as active with the economy as he was with 9/11 there would be no recession and no tax cut. Say what you want about Rumsfeld, he is doing a fine job, but it was Clinton's boys who put GPS guided bombs on the planes and kept the Carrier Battle Groups ready to kick butt which they did, and marines and special forces etc etc etc. Next year Bush will have his first chance to put his mark on the military, let's hope the result is better than the mark he has put on the economy so far. Just the facts yes "Clinton's military is quite ready and kicking butt!"

Excuse me...Hillary's on T.V....I've got to go change the channel, my kids will be frightened. She looks more like Margaret Thatcher every day. Have you noticed on TV lately the clintonites are coming out of the woodwork in an attempt to resurrect a failed president. We have Sandy Berger the guy who insisted mr. bill throw a dart or two at Binnie somewhere in Afghanistan. The conversation may have gone something like this. "Look you idiot, you're in deep sh** again. If we drop a cruise missile or two the public will think you're presidential and take the media's mind off (name here). Don't worry. We'll tell the Pakis what we are going to do so they can let him know and we don't hit the guy and make him mad at us." Then there is Bill Richardson. Avuncular Bill Richardson. Who can get mad at the guy? Energy department all screwed up. Chinese smiling all the way to their ICBM's but ole Bill steps in and agrees with everybody. Yessir. We did that. Wont happen again. Yessir .that happened. Wont happen again. Presto. Media tires of Wen Ho Lee and goes away because Uncle Bill says it's ok now. Then we have Madeline Albright. You remember her. HIllary's appointee. She comes out of the woodwork and reveals there were many attempts at binnie, but they are all Top Secret and she can't reveal them now out of respect for the new president. All this secret stuff, but no proof. Too secret Cohen shows up. Probably the most inept Sec'y of defense in history, excluding Len Aspin who refused to give our troops in Somalia the armored vehicles they requested because "it might irritate the Soviets". You remember the sight of our brave mens' bodies being hauled around the simple Somalians. But a little more is revealed each day what mr bill did to this country and all will be exposed in time. Thank GOD the assault on the terrorists is being waged by actually grown up competent people and not that bunch of inept sycophants clustered around mr and mrs bill. In a very short time President Bush restored the morale of our troops and made them proud to do their duty to for their country. Those cheers for President Bush are real, not setup as for mr bill. It made want to puke when the first coward was shown wearing a flight jacket of the United States Air Force, which I wore proudly during my service to my country. The former first sociopath wouldn't make a pimple on an airman's ass. Ken Ken
