What is a pax?

"Why are you so interested in this? What are you motives?

Just wondrin'"

I lurk into this thread, looking for any ole topic that stimulates thought. Some times I throw out a news item and hope it will create some dialogue. I consider the left right perspective to be very engaging. Some times I take licence with what is being posted to introduce something that is on my mind. For example, a couple of days ago someone made a criticising comment about jla's one liners. I had seen that same criticism many times but on this occassion I suggested that there is value in simplicity. That led to a breif discussion on the topic of simplicity. My motive here was to introduce the topic of simplicity and its value. I would have liked to see it go much further but no body seemed interested so I didn't push it.

For the last couple of days there hasn't been much on this thread that provokes a thought. I probably would not even have read the related posts if there had been other less personal topics of discussion to plug into. So, I made a comment to you yesterday about what I felt the term "a minister" implies in the current context. That led to some discourse with CH which I was happy to resolve as quickly as possible.

Since I have seen the "tongue in cheek" comment a couple of times and it seemed lacking, I figured I would try to fill in the gap....just for the exercise.
