I guess some of us old-timers, such as myself who used to post 5-10 times per day, just got tired of all the bickering. After September 11th, much of the thread was non-gold related. This is my first post since October 18th. I have worked on my website and concentrated on my investments since then. Maybe things are calm enough now that posting again might be worthwhile, assuming folks want to hear from someoe who still isn't very excited about gold (sideways/neutral remains most likely direction)

My gold prediction contest is getting close to yearend:

A shameless self-promotion of best prediction for 2001 <g>

While I'm at it the 17 stocks I picked in December 2000 are up 43%, with 4 stocks (GG, GLG, RGLD, and RPD.TO) more than double. Not too shabby, IMHO.
