John,
No problems with the Compaq 7000Z purchased two years ago. It runs 24/7 except when I leave for a few days. Biggest problem is running scan disc on the 80G hard drive takes a long time. <G>

Yep--- DELL makes a GREAT box UNTIL you get into good size workstations. There is hardly ever a problem with a PC. Your wife & my neighbor are of the very few PCs ever returned I know of. Their help desk, and many others does not have employees familiar with what you are talking about. They have a few that can handle about anything,, but those are rare. Most are OK with minor problems and then............... true-- most of their answers are being recited.. and if you are just a little knowlegable you have completed the 1st 80% of the things they are about to ask you to do. They should put in a program like PC Anywhere so you can allow them to access your system and fix the damn problem without farther agrivating the customer.
