All of Hall's books are uniformly interesting and enlightening. He makes a lot of the same points concerning "rhythm" in behavior that he does with "space". They all read very quickly, and are all worth looking into (if you are not too put off by Hall's sobriety and level-headedness, which fairly oozes from his pages...).

It's really pretty mindboggling to go live for several years in another culture, words really can't describe it

agree with the thought.

there is a psychological term used to describe the accompanying depression..."culture shock".
it normally appears 6-9 months after total immersion in a strange culture.
