KT,

To add to your thoughts on farming; as family farms go out of business there are used machinery sales associated with the farmer going out of business. IMO, machinery sales in the US will be replacement, but there could be a lot of old machinery in the inventory since farming has been in a depression for so long. Where tractor sales should grow is in Eastern Europe and China. DE is strong in both areas. I am waiting for DE to get to a price around $30 before I buy a 1st third.

The fertilizer situation is interesting. The farmers now use satellite technology and soil testing to evaluate where fertilizer is needed and there has been a decrease in its use. I suspect China could get on the fertilizer band wagon but Europe is more environmentally conscious. I don’t know if China has a fertilizer industry, but we know Australia has one.

Joan

Any price increases will lead to lots of tractor sales and fertilizer purchases.

There has been so much fertilizer in the market i had to do did a double take to know where it belongs. May the blessings of this season and true meaning of it be given to all of you here.

No fertilizer in that statement just a big thank you.
