Why would all those people want independence? The answer is that they'd prefer peace. A deeper answer is that it's a power play by the Pakistani government. Incite a largely Muslim population to violence through well place propaganda. Then fund terrorist organizations to keep the unrest going in that region. >>>

You nailed it...Nice way to divert attention from Pak's problems as well...plus pay homage to the Islamic Terrorists, sort of like Saudis to Bin Laden..

And that is Bush's doctrine..Terrorists do not operate in the vacuum..Gvn's either sponsor them or condone them...No cause, no matter how great, can be justified for indiscriminate terror use against civilians..(or tolerated)
That is of course a direct declaration of War against Radical Islam..
