What would become of the region when/if World would shift from Oil to the alternative-based economies...Looks like by declaring Jihad on the Rest of the World that process (switching) can accelerate...

LOL. Isn't that the truth? What Arabs are good at doing is killing and producing martyrs. What they are bad at doing is producing peace and prosperity. Why is it that non-Islamic countries are three times more likely to produce a democracy? Why is it that Islamic countries, the more they adhere to Islamic law, produce vast inequalities between men and women, and cruel and unusual punishments for minor infractions?

Do you need examples? Egypt, Irag, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan.

Need an example of what is possible when you leave the hate-mongering behind? Bahrain, Britain, U.S., France, and Germany.

"One thing that's certain is that the man did spend some time in Belgium," the radio said. "They found on him a map of Brussels with places marked with a cross, notably a street close to the British embassy."

The real question is what were the population dynamics around 1890 - 1895 before the Zionist conferences.

The better question is, how do the population dynamics of Palestine compare with the population dynamics of the neighboring countries, such as Syria and Transjordan in the period 1880-1947? Answer: much faster growth.

You really need the same time period to get an apples-to-apples comparison. All the Mideast had a sharp population growth during the period due to the advent of modern medicine and colonial governments. Yes, our favorite lefties would rather choke than admit it, but British rule was a vast improvement over Turkish. Though when you consider the effects of Turkish rule, it's really pretty faint praise.

The Arabs would be delighted to have no Jews in Israel and fewer Arabs in Palestine than there are now.
