I apologize. The interpretation I put on your post did seem out of character for you.

I drew Solon's attention to that post in another post. I think his opinions are not those of the average Canadian. My impression is that they were well aware that they were as deeply involved in WWII as we and they would also have boys dying on those beaches had we invaded Japan.
